I found the candy molds at Home Cake Decorating Supply Co., a wonderful candy and cake supply store in the Seattle area. I don't know how I didn't know about them. Alas, she refuses to go online so no website. But if you do live out here, I would say make haste. She has so many amazing molds of every type you can imagine. I even found soccer ball suckers for our party this summer!UPDATE!!! Since I have party OCD, and can't stop obsessing, I tweaked the bags again, and like this version much better.

These are so cute!

Those are lovely! By doing them so early, will the cooton candy get hard before the weekend? Just curious.

ReplyDeleteThese are soooo adorable. Stupid question but are they chocolate/candy? I'd love to know how you got the plane red.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Lauren
Lauren - No stupid questions here :) They are candy melts, they come in a variety of colors and flavors that you can melt and pour into molds. You can find them at any craft store in the cake decorating aisle. Chocolate is chocolate, but I think any other colors are more candy.
DeleteThanks so much Dawn, I managed to track down some melts yay! :) how far in advance did you bag the favours? I'm more worried about the floss going funny. Thanks again :)
ReplyDeleteLauren - Yes, I did mine the day before so the cotton candy wouldn't dry out being exposed!
