Tuesday Tip/Tutorial - Lucky Leaf Review

Alright, it's time to get back into the swing of things, I'm sooooo behind! I must get this review out, because it was so much fun to make and tasty too!

A few weeks ago, the lovely people over at Lucky Leaf sent me a few cans of their premium pie filling and my choice of recipes to try out. I opted for the Angel Food Patriotic Delight and dished it up at our 4th of July BBQ at my in-laws.
You will need:
1 prepared angel food cake
1 3 oz. package of instant vanilla pudding
1 8 oz. tub of whipped topping
1 each 21 oz. can of Lucky Leaf Apple Pie, Blueberry Pie and Cherry Pie filling
clear bowl or 9 oz clear tumbler cups

1. Prepare the pudding according to the package directions, cube the cake into bite size pieces and add it to a large bowl.

2. Add the pudding and whipped topping....

...and gently mix the cake, pudding and whipped cream together.3. Now, the fun part. I thought it would be easier to make parfait cups, but you can follow the recipe and do the same in a clear bowl.

Add a spoonful of the cake mixture to a 9 oz tumbler cup, top with a spoonful of the blueberry filling, layer another spoonful of the cake mixture, then the cherry pie filling. Repeat with another layer of cake mixture and top with the apple pie filling.4. Voila!

It was very tasty, everyone ate them up! Even the kids present couldn't get enough of it, except for one who hates pudding, but her dad gladly took it.The only real complaint was a few people weren't too sure about the apple pie with the berries, they could see the apple pie layered with the cake mixture and crumbled graham crackers, or the berry layers with no apple topping. Of course, the pregnant woman, A.K.A. one of my sister-in-laws came up with that.
