Real {Reader} Party - Pink Ballerina Party

Pink and ballerinas go hand in hand and nothing is cuter than little girls in tutus. Fellow Houstonian Monique sent me these pretty pictures of her daughter celebrating turning 3 with 12 of her closest friends, a pink ballerina with a touch of Angelina Ballerina. Now you know she is a party planner extraordinaire, she planned this party in her 3rd trimester of pregnancy! I tell my ovaries, shush, no girls for you!

In her own words...
Lauren is a girly girl and loves all things pink and princess. This party was tailor-made for her!

Photography by Perket Angel Creations;  The large photograph you see centered on the food table, as well as the photos on the smaller favor bags (in the last photo) were by Angel Greenwood of Perket Angel Creations. We also had a slideshow playing on our iPad2 of all the pictures Angel took her 3 year photo shoot on the table holding the tiaras and tutus for dress-up. There was a hardback book of printed photos on the food table also for guests to enjoy.

Held at Profusion Performing Arts in Houston which provides dance instruction, dance games and music. The girls dress up in tiaras, tutus, wands and feather boas. The birthday girl also gets a special princess chair to sit in while presents are opened. A child ballerina was also provided to show the girls some special ballet moves, a short dance recital, and photos with the little ballerina guests.

I made the cupcake stands for the party. They are plain white Wilton 4 tier cupcake stands. I made a pink tutu for each one and trimmed it in pink ribbon. I then printed her name, age and a coordinating picture of Angelina Ballerina.

I used a round hole punch to punch them out and affixed them to the center of each tier. Nuggets and fruit delivered from Chick-fil-a, and placed on my own glass serving trays for a classy touch; chocolate dipped Oreos with a pink design applied to the top by my mom.

The pink cookies with sprinkles, the Angelina Ballerina cake and cupcakes were ordered from a local bakery and used customized decals from eBay seller CakesForCures2003 . The decals have a picture of Angelina Ballerina, and my daughter's name and age.

These favor bags (in the first picture) were made by my mom. The picture on the front shows Angelina Ballerina and it reads Thanks for being a ballerina with me. It was 'TuTu' fun! Love Lauren. The bags were filled with 4 cans of play doh, a child size rolling pin and a bag of about 10 cookie cutters. These favor bags were arranged alone on a special table with a bouquet in the middle. They were handed out at the end of the party after the birthday girl  thanked everyone for coming to her party.
