We Go Wednesday - Seattle Bloggers Unite With Assemble

So the stars aligned and I was finally able to attend my first Seattle Bloggers event in months...all the events have been on Tuesday/Thursday evenings when I have class and this time, it fell on a Wednesday.  Of course, that was irrelevant since I'm on Spring Break.

Tuesday Tip - Baby Themed Minted Inspiration Boards

I'm so not good on keeping up with all the changes the different social platforms are going through...who's in, who's being discontinued.  I'm finally getting a handle on Google+ and figuring it out how it works.

Google Friend Connect isn't used much anymore and not available for non-Blogger blogs,  so if you want to keep up with posting this way, you'll have to do it on Google+.

See this shiny button over there in the left column? Everyone you GFC follow is already there from what I understand, but if you aren't already following me there, you should.  Unless you are on my email subscription list, yeah for you!

So on to another tip...I absolutely love Minted's inspiration board challenges, and not just because they are one of my fabulous sponsors.  I'm always looking for party inspiration and hope to pass a little of it on to you. With spring on the way, I have a couple of ideas for you.  Their latest challenge is to inspire spring baby shower ideas based on one of their products.

It is always so hard to narrow down what to use, so I went with not one but two of their baby announcements...these would make perfect Sip & See invitations for those of you planning to celebrate after the baby is born.

Host Your Next Event With PlaceFull

PlaceFull Logo

Let's give a round of applause and welcome our newest sponsor to our little corner of crazy, PlaceFull!

As you are well aware, I rarely host my boys' birthday parties at our house, unless like the Game Truck, the entertainment comes to us.  Once they hit a certain age, the rule of age + 1 for the guest list went out the window. So I'm always looking for a new place to host their parties.  Which incidentally,  this year, the boy wants a rock climbing party and the little one has his heart set on a indoor trampoline party.  I know...but not destroying my home, priceless!

PlaceFull search engine
Founded by former Microsoft employees Ryan Hamlin and George Webb, PlaceFull makes the event planning process easy, fun, and instant. We are a society of  busy people with no time to make phone calls, tell them all our business and wait to see if they can accommodate our event.

Paper Cake Slices + Martha Stewart Scoring Board

It's the first day of Spring!  Here in Seattle as I write this, the sun has been playing peek-a-boo.  I'm always inspired to get even more crafty as the weather warms, especially with all the holidays and birthdays on their way.

Martha Stewart scoring board

I'm stepping my crafting game up with a discovery that I can't believe that up to last week, I didn't know existed....the Martha Stewart Scoring Board.  I know, it's been out forever, but I swear as much as I've drooled over her section in my favorite craft stores, I've missed it.  I love to make paper rosettes but of course, hand folding them can be a pain.  Unless you have a perfectly spaced set of scored lines...which you get with a...wait for it...scoring board.

Fiesta Friday/Real Party - Wreck It Ralph Movie Party Part II

Disclaimer – I was provided the Deluxe Party In A Box from Birthday Express for review and no compensation was given, real or implied.

Wreck It Ralph Birthday Express movie party placemats

Last Tuesday, for the DVD release of Wreck It Ralph, I shared part one of our Movie Party.  The actual party was Friday and we had an awesome time!

My biggest tip for hosting a successful kids' party, whether large or small...keep them busy! I first set the table with the reversible placemats from my Birthday Express box.  It is a great way to keep guests engaged while waiting for everyone to arrive and gives you a few more minutes to collect your thoughts.

Then, it was time for the main event...well, for me anyways.   If you haven't seen the movie, I won't spoil it much. Since most of the movie is set in the Sugar Rush video game where the climatic kart race happens, what would be more perfect than creating our own candy karts?

Pi Day/We Go Wednesday (On A Thursday) - Snohomish Pie Company

Pi Day Snohomish Pie Company

It's Pi Day, Pi Day...yes my friends, it's my fellow math geeks' High Holy Day, Pi Approximation Day, or Pi Day for short.  Technically, because π (pi) is an irrational number that doesn't end, 3.14 is an approximation. Yeah, exciting right? Well, it is...because it's also Einstein's birthday so it's like Mardi Gras right now.

Fiesta Friday (On A Tuesday) - Wreck It Ralph Movie Watching Party (Part I) + Birthday Express Review

Disclaimer – I was provided the Deluxe Party In A Box from Birthday Express for review and no compensation was given, real or implied.

When I was contacted to try out one of Birthday Expressparty packs, I was more than game.  I've never ordered a Party In A Box before and it was quite fun looking through  their extensive list of party themes.

All you have to do is point and click.  If you are having more than 8 guests showing up or want party favors, it's easy to add on.  When I came across the Wreck It Ralph pack, of course,  my love for the movie led to that choice.  I put my order in, and within a few days, a big box was waiting for me on the porch.

Since I couldn't talk the little one into making it a birthday party theme, I did the next best thing...oh yes,  a movie watching party was in order with the DVD release on the horizon.

And that is exactly what today is...Wreck It Ralph is in stores, now!  Our party is Friday and we can't wait to see it again. I'm sharing part one of our movie party...the table.  It won't stay this way for the actual event because we have a few fun activities up our sleeves...lots of sweets are involved.

But I should probably get back to the business at hand...what did I get in my Deluxe Party Pack For 8? A plethora of items come in every theme's box...Wreck It Ralph has dinner plates; lunch napkins, paper cups, forks and spoons, a foil balloon, paper tablecover, red star confetti, 18 latex balloons, curling ribbon, red placemats, candles, and crepe paper.

Today I'll show you how easy it is to put together a fun party table with just about everything in the box.
