Tiny Olive reusable gift bags

I do love my wrapping paper, but I love giving a gift within a gift even more! Deb Ivy, founder of Tiny Olive, grew up with this sentiment.  Her family has made a tradition of wrapping Christmas gifts in reusable fabric bags made from scraps of leftover fabric. for over 30 years.

I was thrilled when Deb reached out to me about her company to share her fabulous reusable gift bags with my readers.  She sent me the Maude Dot bags to have a little holiday gifting fun. All of the fabric bags have twill tape to tie up your gift into a neat, reusable package.

Although the bags are so cute on their own, you can dress them up for any occasion.  From embellishing with the recipient's name with fabric marker to cutting out felt and stitching on or using fabric glue for a monogram or holiday word, the possibilities are endless.

The best part, once you've given them as a gift wrap, they can be re-used for everything like travel bags, organizing cords and accessories or for everyday use in a handbag for keeping personal items in one spot, or your car's treat and snack bag for the kids. Or just stash them away with your stockings and ornaments and start a new tradition of using fabric bags instead of  wrapping paper.

DIY chalkboard tree on Tiny Olive reusable gift bags

I finally used the freezer paper stenciling method that I've been threatening to do for years with this great tutorial from Pretty Providence and broke out my chalkboard paint for the wine bag.

Now it is ready for a special message/recipient's name and you have made your bottle of wine or champagne even classier.   On the small bag, I used a a simple gift tag and ribbon; isn't it the perfect holiday placecard?  On the large bag, I tied on  twill ribbon and jingle bells.
