Tuesday Tutorial - Goldfish Crackers Snack Bags

Tuesday Tutorial - Goldfish Crackers Snack Bags

When my boys were younger, they devoured Goldfish crackers and Cheerios by the truckful.  Now, we have come back full circle with them as a pre-teen and teenager devouring pretty much anything in the cupboards.

This month's Whisker Graphics Design Team submission pays homage to snack time with my cute bag idea.  They are perfect for a last-minute playdate snack, nautical themed party favor or a just-because-I-love-you snack.

Goldfish Crackers Snack Bags

Supplies

Navy Blue striped and Blue Chevron Middy Bitty Bags
4" X 9 1/2" cello bags
fish stamp
white cardstock
washi tape
Goldfish crackers and your choice of snacks; I used puffy corn
markers
  1. Trim a 3" square of cardstock and stamp (or draw on!) your design.  I colored my stamp image with markers for the two tone effect.
  2. Fill the Middy Bitty bag 3/4 of the way with your choice of snacks and fold closed, about 2" from the top.
  3. Trim the cello bag down to 7" long.  Packaging the crackers in the clear cello bag lets the 'water' of the Middy Bitty background bag shine through.  Fold the cello bag down so that it fits the front of the Middy Bag and close with washi tape.
  4. Attach the cardstock to the bags with washi tape by wrapping the tape around both bags.  Leave a little room between the tops of the cello and Middy Bitty Bag so the washi tape will adhere to them both.
