It is the first day of autumn! Here in the Pacific Northwest, especially the Seattle area, this is our time...with cooler weather, changing leaves and an abundance of farms to enjoy corn mazes, fresh cider and pumpkins, there is no where else to be!
Today, I'm sharing a few of my favorite fall activities to go to, for kids and adults, in Seattle and the surrounding areas, just a short drive away!
Wear a costume, bring cash, and socialize during the informal 5th Annual Halloween Pub Crawl
that starts in downtown Seattle and bar hops as it heads south.
Held the first weekend in October at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall, the 14th annual BrickCon
is a must-go for LEGO enthusiasts...we do every year
The NW Chocolate Festival 2015
will be two days of pure chocolate decadence at Seattle's Bell Harbor Pier. You will taste chocolate from the finest artisan chocolate and pastry makers, plus have opportunities to learn a great deal about its origins, processing, culinary explorations, and more!
I'm so excited to attend this year's Fashionably Undead Prom: 90's Nightmare
at EMP. Grab your scrunchies and don your best flirty babydoll dress, or dress down with acid-washed jeans, flannel, and Lisa Frank tattoos for a very undead take on the biggest bash of the year.
The family-friendly Pumpkin Bash
at Woodland Park Zoo is a huge hit every year! See how pumpkins bring out the animals’ wild instincts as hippos chomp, elephants smash, meerkats dig, and bears crunch their way through the festive treats.
Your admission to Fright Fest
at Wild Waves in Federal Way includes over 20 amusement rides, two haunted houses, BOOVILLE for little goblins, and more.
in Snohomish, is one of our favorites
for pumpkin picking and going through the corn maze. Its Stalker Farms
is for older fun, with haunted attractions and zombie paintball.
Monroe's Remlinger Farms
has something for everyone with a family fun park, market and restaurant and u-pick fields. Their fruit pies are my favorite part...I am addicted to Tripleberry.
Ranked as one of the top Oktoberfest celebrations in the country, Oktoberfest
in Leavenworth boasts three full weekends with four venues of activities that the entire family will enjoy.
Need fresh apples for pie and cider? The Farm at Swan’s Trail
in Snohomish includes an acre of Jonagold and Honeycrisp apple trees, ready for the picking.
When my boys were little, every year we attended Everett's Imagine Children's Museum's Halloween With The Lights On
for fun stories, crafts and of course, exploring the museum. Oh, how I miss those simple days...
