Tuesday Tutorial - Geometric Stitched Leaf Art

An easy project for your mantel or tabletop, Geometric Stitched Leaf Art

This month's Whisker Graphics' Design Team project is using some of the yummy colors from their new Diva Twine collection to welcome fall with a simple project perfect for mantel and countertop decorating; Geometric Stitched Leaf Art.

If you can push a needle through something that is not your finger, you have the craft skills for this....

Geometric Stitched Leaf Art

Created with Diva Twine solids in Palos Verdes, Wheat and Lemonwood, first I drew simple leaf shapes on the back of the canvas.

Following the leaf shapes, I punched holes through the canvas with an embroidery needle, then stitched the border of each leaf with twine.

I stitched across each leaf for the 'geometric' look...and done!
